The former captives were taken to the camp in April 2015 after being rescued from Sambisa Forest in Borno State.

The evacuation was reportedly confirmed by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Camps Coordinator in Yola, Sa’ad Bello.

Bello however said that he had not been informed about where they would be taken.

The Nigerian military, in April, rescued about 1,000 women and children from the sect after an operation in the forest.
