The vastly popular annual race has over the years rewarded endurance and tenacity of running the course of 42Kilometres while instilling the culture of good governance and transparency.

The annual race I organised by Splash FM and the National Sports commission (NSC), Southwest zone 1 in order to harness the proper professional and government support necessary.

The organisers have revealed that N3m worth of cash prizes will be won at the marathon.

Interested participants are to register by picking up a form for free at the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports (South West Zone) at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan.

Registration has been going on since March 1 and will end on Friday, March 31.

The Ibadan City Marathon 2017 will be at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan from 7 am.

In the last nine years of Splash FM’s corporate existence and broadcasting pacesetting in the South-West of Nigeria, have championed the cause of upholding integrity and anti-corruption crusades.

The Integrity Marathon is them is to maintain a good cause.

For the Ibadan City Marathon, interested individuals will be allowed to run for different causes which include; home for elderly, home for the blind, home for the vulnerable children/ orphanage and autism.

Running for different causes will allow the marathon to reach the grassroots and also boost the morale of the athletes.
