Glory Nathaniel competed in the semi-final of the 400m Women’s Hurdle. She ran in Lane 6 in the second semis and went up against the likes of Sara Peterson who won Silver at the Rio 2016 Olympics and Cassandra Tate who won bronze at the same Olympics.

Glory finished 4th in 55.40s but was disqualified for an infraction.

Team Nigeria Day 6 (Wednesday, August 9)

Nigeria’s Ese Brume will be competing in the Group A Women’s Long Jump qualification. The Delta State born athlete will be competing against the likes of Rio 2016 Olympic champion Tianna Bartoletta and bronze medallist Ivana Spanovic.

In Group B, Blessing Okagbare will compete against the likes of London 2012 Olympic Champion Brittney Reese.
