Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Drag Jake Gyllenhaal Into Their Online Troll War
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Reynolds was the one to instigate things, sharing a photo of himself and Jackman on Instagram with the caption: "Happy #BestFriendsDay to Jake Gyllenhaal (Not pictured)".

Then Jackman responded with his own pic, describing Reynolds as a "Stage 4 clinger" and adding a "#HiJake".

Finally, Gyllenhaal posted his own response, sharing a photo of himself and Jackman with a caption that mimicked Reynolds' original message: "Happy #bestfriendsday to Ryan Reynolds (not pictured)".

This isn't the first time Gyllenhaal has become embroiled in Reynolds and Jackman's shenanigans: last Christmas he conspired with Jackman to pull a prank on an unsuspecting Reynolds, inviting him to an "ugly Christmas sweater party" which turned out to be... well, just an ordinary party, prompting Reynolds to denounce the two as "f**ing a**holes" on his Instagram Story.
It looks like Gyllenhaal is now an official member of the troll war between Jackman and Reynolds, which has been going since way back in 2015, when Reynolds posted an impersonation of Jackman, Australian accent and all, from the set of Deadpool.
A love of silly social media pranks is just one of the things these guys all have in common: Gyllenhaal is the latest of the three actors to join the Marvel stable, starring as Mysterio in this summer's Spider-Man: Far From Home. Reynolds has led two movies as "merc with a mouth" Deadpool, while Jackman has famously been playing Wolverine in the X-Men franchise for as long as any of us can remember.
