After shooting two seasons in Berlin and South Africa, "Homeland" will begin shooting in New York next week.

On Thursday, August 11, 2016, during the Television Critics Association panel session, executive producer Alex Gansa, teased the fate of Quinn who appeared to die in the final scenes of season five.

According to Gansa, Quinn is alive but altered. He also revealed that Carrie is getting back in the intelligence game in the sixth season.

On the series coming to an end, Gansa said, “We asked ourselves how many years can we keep this going and keep the quality up? We said seven or eight seasons sounded about right."

Since it made its debut in 2011, "Homeland" has won eight Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes.
