First, the spending spree, totaling €80 million; then, the sales before dipping back into the transfer market. Morten Hjulmand and Francisco Trincão are on their way out of Alvalade, with €90 million set to bolster Sporting's coffers. The midfielder could depart as early as this week, while the forward's move will take longer, but his destination is already set for Saudi Arabia.

Atlético Madrid saw their €35 million bid for the Danish midfielder rejected. Hjulmand knows he's leaving Sporting, but only when the *Colchoneros* raise their offer to €40 million fixed plus bonuses. The Spanish club has yet to submit a second proposal but is expected to do so this week. They will indeed need to reach the €40 million mark, with the captain's presentation for the pre-season training camp in Lagos dependent on the deal's progress.

For Trincão, A BOLA understands that Al Ahli's offer, though not yet formal, was €45 million. This is €5 million short of what the *Verdes e Brancos* are seeking for the Portuguese international forward. Negotiations are ongoing, but a revised, higher official bid is not expected to reach Alvalade this week.

However, both deals are considered likely to materialize, meaning €90 million is heading into the Lions' treasury. This is €10 million more than what has already been spent to reinforce Rui Borges' squad for the 2026/2027 season.

The first acquisition was Rodrigo Zalazar, a forward signed from SC Braga for €30 million. Next came Pedro Lima and Doumbia, both midfielders; Lima cost €4 million from Aves SAD, and Doumbia €20 million from Venezia in Italy. Silas Andersen followed, a €7.25 million transfer from Hacken, and finally, Sergi Altimira, formerly of Betis, for €18 million.

All told, nearly €80 million has already been invested in this 2026 summer transfer window, specifically €79.25 million. This outlay will be covered by just two imminent sales: those of Morten Hjulmand and Francisco Trincão.

Among the players nearing the end of their cycle with the *Verdes e Brancos* and on their way out is also Pedro Gonçalves. But while the door is wide open for Hjulmand and Trincão, no one has yet come knocking for Pote to initiate negotiations. Similar to Trincão, Saudi Arabia is a possibility for the number 8, but other markets are also keeping a close eye.
