“Hi my name is Henry Onyekuru, I’m from Everton FC, now I’m really happy to be with Anderlecht for the next season,” he said in his first interview with the club.

“I’m hardworking, I try to deliver and try to do more in every game. This is my first time in Austria, I arrived today and so far it has been good.

“I’m happy with the players, staff and everyone.”

Onyekuru knows Anderlecht very well having played in Belgium for two years with KAS Eupen.

It was with Eupen last season he cut the eyes of top European clubs last season with fantastic performances.

Arsenal and West Ham were interested in Onyekuru who scored 24 goals in 38 games last season with Eupen but it was Everton that finally got him.

“Of course I know Anderlecht cause I was in the Belgian league with KAS Eupen so I played against Anderlecht,” the forward added.

“At the moment I’m happy to be with the club, to be among the champions."

Anderlecht released a video of Onyekuru’s arrival, his interview and his first time meeting with his new teammates and coaches.
