According to , Arsenal have agreed on a £6.8m fee to sign the 19-year-old from Belgian side KAS Eupen.

This is following the fantastic season he had with Eupen where he scored 24 goals and made 14 assists.

But who is he?

Henry Onyekuru plays for Belgian side Eupen, which is the partner club of the Qatar-owned Aspire Foundation, owners of Paris Saint-Germain.

Born in Onitsha, the 19-year-old was discovered in Nigeria by Aspire Foundation who took him to Europe.

In 2015 he joined Eupen in Belgian Second Division and his six goals contributed to the team's promotion to the First  Division where his performances have caught the eye.

How good is he?

Onyekuru is an insanely skillful forward with a lot of pace. With fast feet, the forward is a good dribbler who also knows how to score goals.

His best position

Onyekuru plays everywhere in attack. From highlights on Youtube, the right-footer prefers playing from the left where he cuts in from his left and trouble defenders with his pace and skills.

He can also play as an out and out striker, but his yearning to always get involved in the game often see him drift away from the 18-yard-box.

He wears his jersey with 'Henry' on it and it's very obvious he looks up to the Arsenal great Thierry Henry as an idol.

"The shirt I dream of wearing is Arsenal’s because I’ve always had Thierry Henry as a role model since I was little," he said about the Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry.

His Weaknesses

Onyekuru’s main weakness is his knack for wanting to do things on his own. He is often guilty of wanting to go on solo runs, dribble opponents instead of an easier option of just passing to a teammate.

Many would count his height as a problem, especially in the very physical Premier League but Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez, have shown you don’t need to be tall to do well in the Premier League.

Where can he fit in at Arsenal?

In Onyekuru, Arsenal have signed a player who has a very bright future ahead of him. For the short-term, a loan deal to another Premier League club would be the best option for both parties. With all the pressure Arsene Wenger is in at the moment at Arsenal, he does not seem to have the time to try out untested players.

However, with Arsenal playing in the Europa League next season, Wenger might use the likes of Onyekuru for the second-tier European competition while he rests his main stars for the Premier League.

Wenger’s success stories with developing young talented forwards show Onyekuru is sure in good hands.
