The Portuguese world No. 119, and fourth seed in the tournament, overcame his adversary, currently ranked 208th globally, with set scores of 6-2, 4-6, and 6-2, in a match lasting 1 hour and 57 minutes.

With this victory, the 22-year-old Porto native advances to the semifinals of a Challenger circuit tournament for the fourth time this season. He is now set to face Kazakhstan's Timofey Skatov, ranked 189th in the world, in their first-ever encounter.

Should he win, Henrique Rocha will reach his seventh career Challenger final and his third of the current season, having previously lost in Santiago, Chile, and triumphed in Brasília.
