He couldn't have put it more clearly. David Beckham reacts to England vs. Mexico match
Sunday's World Cup Round of 16 clash at Mexico's Estadio Banorte delivered five goals. England played with ten men from the 54th minute after Jarell Quansah received a red card. Despite the disadvantage, Thomas Tuchel's side managed to secure a narrow victory.
“Now that was a performance, wow! There was no other way to win this game. Absolutely brilliant,” David Beckham posted on his Instagram, sharing several stories.
He also shared a photo of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, both of whom scored against Mexico. “Passion and leadership,” he captioned the image featuring the two English internationals. The legendary midfielder also praised the coach's performance.
In another post, he lauded goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. “What can we say about this man’s performance today? Absolutely nothing short of perfection,” wrote the 51-year-old Englishman, who now co-owns Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.
The English national team now faces a challenging World Cup quarter-final, where they will meet Norway on Saturday, July 11th, at 11:00 PM CET.
