Hailed as a Star, But Yet to Deliver. Dominik Greif's Teammate Under Coach's Scrutiny

Olympique Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca has expressed dissatisfaction with the performances of young Brazilian forward Endrick, currently on loan in France from Spanish giants Real Madrid. The nineteen-year-old talent, after a promising start, has gradually lost form, which has also impacted the team's results.

Endrick's recent performance saw him largely ineffective in Lyon's goalless draw against Angers, extending the club's winless streak to nine matches. The team, which includes Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Greif, currently sits seventh in Ligue 1. This Sunday evening, they are set to host Lorient.

"I'm not satisfied with how Endrick is playing," Fonseca stated. "I'm not here to tear players down, but I expect more from a player like Endrick, and I believe he has a duty to show more."

Ironically, just days prior, the young forward shone for Brazil, coming off the bench to win a penalty and contribute to a goal in their 3-1 friendly victory over Croatia in Orlando.

However, Fonseca dismissed any excuses regarding travel fatigue. "He said he was a bit tired from the journey, but I think he has a responsibility to show more," the coach added.

Endrick has six goals in 15 appearances this season, but the entire team is struggling with a scoring drought. Lyon has managed only three goals in their last six matches and trails third-placed Olympique Marseille by four points in the race for a Champions League spot.
