Gyökeres: France Will Go Far

Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres commented on their 3-0 loss to France in the World Cup Round of 16. He acknowledged the opponent's superiority and tipped "Les Bleus" as the main favorites for the title.

"In attack, they have excellent chemistry. They know each other incredibly well; it's evident and felt on the pitch," Gyökeres stated.

"If they continue in the same vein and maintain their organized defense – if they don't allow opponents to create so many chances – I believe they will certainly go very far. They are a very good team," the striker emphasized.

At the 2026 World Cup, the Arsenal player featured in all four of Sweden's matches, scoring one goal.
