Real Madrid and Arda Güler have reached an agreement over a new contract for the talented Turkish midfielder, reports "AS". The 21-year-old's previous deal was set to run until 2029, but the extension will now keep him at the club until 2031. The new contract also includes a pay rise reflecting his increasingly vital role in the team. Güler has started five matches since the beginning of the campaign, with José Mourinho making it clear that he relies heavily on the playmaker. Arda also played a major role last season, making 40 starts while registering six goals and 14 assists.

Güler joins a core group of players secured on long-term contracts at the club. New signing Yan Diomande is committed until 2033, while Vinícius and Marc Cucurella have deals running through 2032. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Álvaro Carreras, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Espi are all locked in until 2031—a cohort Güler now joins.

According to "AS", the next key player set to extend his stay is Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper is expected to sign a renewal keeping him at the club until June 30, 2028.
