The English tactician emphasized that for his players to stand a chance against one of the tournament favorites, they would need to surpass their usual performance.

"We are fully aware of our opponent's strength and quality. We need to be close to perfection, to play the game of our lives if we want to win," Potter told the media.

He openly expressed his admiration for the French squad: "I'm not sure the word 'weakness' can be applied to anything in this French team. They have exceptional players in every single line."

So far, Sweden has shown inconsistent form in the tournament. In the group stage, the team started with a convincing 5-1 victory over Tunisia, but then suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat to the Netherlands and concluded with a 1-1 draw against Japan.

Nevertheless, defender Victor Lindelöf expressed confidence in the team's ability to challenge any opponent.

"We have players who can cause problems for any opponent. For many of the lads, this is their first major tournament representing the national team. Our journey here hasn't been easy. The stakes are high to continue our World Cup adventure, and we don't want it to end now," commented Lindelöf.
