Good News for Zvezda, Bad for Partizan: Dubai Crushes Budućnost to Reclaim Top Spot!
Dubai largely controlled the game and the scoreboard throughout the match. The hosts established a nine-point lead after the first quarter, and although Budućnost managed to stay within striking distance until halftime, they lacked the power to seriously threaten a comeback or level the score.
The outcome was practically decided in the third quarter, which Dubai won 26:17. By the end of that period, their lead had stretched to 21 points, an insurmountable deficit for the Podgorica side, despite their efforts to halve the Middle Eastern team's advantage.
Mfiondu Kabengele scored 16 points, while Dzanan Musa added 15. Yogi Ferrell was the game's top scorer with 20 points.
With this victory, Dubai has reclaimed the top spot in the ABA League. Despite having the same number of wins as Partizan, they hold the advantage due to a superior head-to-head record. Budućnost, on the other hand, sits in fourth place, one win behind Crvena Zvezda, and is hoping for a scenario where Partizan defeats their biggest rival next week. In that case, coupled with their own victory, the Podgorica team could return to third place.
