"Good luck in the Championship": Fan trolls Romero on the street over Tottenham's struggles
Tottenham is facing one of the most critical periods in its recent history, and one fan didn't miss the chance to mock Cristian Romero for it. Following a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, combined with West Ham's victory, Spurs have dropped into the relegation zone with just six matches left in the Premier League season.
Romero was unfortunate in that match, suffering a knee injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season. As if that wasn't enough, a fan decided to troll him about Tottenham's poor form.
While the Argentine was walking in London, an individual approached him, recording a video, and said, "Cristian, good luck in the Championship, mate." Although the Tottenham defender heard the comment, he paid it no mind and continued his walk through the streets of the English capital.
