The full back was banned from the Copa America following his sticking of his finger into Edinson Cavani's butt during Chile's 1-0 quarter-final win over Uruguay.

In addition to the fingering, Jara theatrically fell to the fall after an altercation with Cavani which led to the sending off the Uruguayan striker.

His club Mainz is so enraged with his behaviour that they are ready to offload him this summer.

Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel couldn’t hide his anger after watching the episode.

"He knows that if an offer comes, he can go," Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel told Bild.

"We do not tolerate that. More than the prod, however, it is what comes afterwards that makes me angry. I hate theatrics more than anything."
