The Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) has release activities for the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2014 scheduled for November 17 to 23.
Betty Egbuna, the Media Director, revealed the GEW Walk for Entrepreneurship in Lagos will take off from Muri Okunola Park via Adeola Hopewell – Adetokunbo Ademola - Ahmadu Bello - Adeola Odekun - Akin Adesola – Ademola Alakija and back to Muri Okunola.
Speaking on the initiative, Egbuna said: "The Global entrepreneurship Week Nigeria Campaign will kick off with a walk for entrepreneurship. The walk will engage hundreds of young people in a 9km walk around Victoria Island Lagos to steer up the awareness for the week actively in Nigeria. The walk will take place simultaneously in three other locations in Nigeria."
The Abuja GEW Walk for Entrepreneurship, themed Going the Distance: Is the Road Map to business success, will have a CEO share his/her business story, with the challenges that goes with it, after the walk.
Top of the agenda at the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit, scheduled to hold at the UNILAG Auditorium, is Student's Entrepreneurship Dialogue, a conference that exposes young people to the benefits of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity; and how they can turn little ideas into big ventures.
According to Egbuna, the Tech Fair is designed to bring together players in the information and technology sector to showcase innovative and user friendly products and services that will enhance the productivity and profitability of small businesses.
This event includes a Panel Discussion and an Exposition, where only 20 exhibitors are expected all from the IT sector.
