Acting president of world football governing body, FIFA, Issa Hayatou is expected at the Glo-CAF Awards which will be holding on Thursday, January 7.
Hayatou who is also the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will be attending the awards.
The 69-year-old has been acting president of FIFA since Sepp Blatter was suspended. The Cameroonian will remain in that seat until the next FIFA elections.
Glo-CAF awards programme is the most prestigious in Africa conferred on outstanding players, coaches, supporters and administrators by the continent’s highest football authority and bankrolled by next generation network and the continents leading indigenous telecoms operator, Globacom.\

The categories include African Player of The Year (Based in Africa), National Team of The Year, Club of The Year, and Coach of The Year.
Other categories are Women’s National Team of The Year, Women’s Footballer of The Year, Most Promising Talent, Referee of The Year, Legend of The year, Fair Play Award, Platinum Award, which has only one nominee, and Africa Finest XI.
