Fulham secured their first Premier League victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Hull City at Craven Cottage in matchweek seven. Alex Iwobi (33') scored the only goal of the game, with the Londoners forced to weather late pressure after Ryan Sessegnon was sent off in stoppage time.

The hosts were the more proactive side for most of the contest and carved out significantly more chances. Fulham dominated possession and probed for openings, breaking the deadlock in the 33rd minute when Iwobi converted from a Sander Berge pass. Hull rarely threatened Bernd Leno's goal and failed to register a single shot on target throughout the match.

Tensions mounted in the closing stages after Sessegnon was dismissed in the 94th minute. Hull were handed a late chance to equalise from a free-kick, but Mohamed Belloumi's effort sailed over the crossbar. Fulham held on to their slender lead to snap their difficult run in the league, easing the pressure on manager Álvaro Arbeloa.
