Former France international Marcel Desailly has claimed that Real Madrid should have parted ways with winger Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian has registered just one goal and three assists in 10 appearances across all competitions this season, struggling to impress under manager Jose Mourinho.
"Real Madrid should have let Vinicius go. They need to look for other players. We keep returning to the Kylian Mbappe-Vinicius partnership, but it is clear that it is not working. Expressing my personal opinion as an analyst, I believe it would have been better for Vinicius to leave. We will see if he can shake off all the negativity and criticism aimed at him," said the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winner in an interview with beIN Sports. Vinicius has been with Real Madrid since 2018.
