Fred Vasseur hits out at media over speculation regarding his Ferrari future

"When you look at all the noise and rumours in the press throughout the week, I think as a team we need to work in peace. That was absolutely not the case. We had to do something with that statement, otherwise this weekend would have been more of the same. Honestly, the main priority today is to restore stability, calm, and focus, and stop receiving these questions on a daily basis," Vasseur stated.

"Normally, we fight each other and stab each other in the back. But Ferrari is in the best championship position they've been in for a very long time. They've introduced innovations on the car, such as the rear wing and exhaust wing, which the rest of us have copied. This is a team performing brilliantly, so for me personally, there is no doubt that Fred is the right man for the job," said Vowles, whose own future at Williams has also drawn some speculation.
