Both race weekends have faced uncertainty given the ongoing instability across the Middle East. However, Michel assured that Formula 2's plans remain unchanged for now, while declining to reveal whether the championship has prepared backup options should the rounds at Lusail and Yas Marina fall through.

"As of now, the situation is completely clear. The races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi remain on the calendar, and we will finish the championship there. We are following Formula 1's stance on this matter. F1 management is fully aware of the situation and the measures needed to ensure both events take place under the best possible conditions. We are confident that will be the case. "We are really looking forward to these two rounds, especially with an exciting title showdown featuring three drivers in contention. We genuinely cannot wait for Qatar and Abu Dhabi," Michel stated. "The races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi will not be cancelled. You know drivers will always have opinions on many topics, but I can categorically say that we want to conclude the season there. That is Formula 1's intention, and we will stick to that plan," he added when asked whether F2 is preparing a contingency plan for the season finale.

Future Haas F1 driver Rafael Camara currently leads the Formula 2 standings on 207 points. The Brazilian holds a seven-point cushion over Bulgarian talent Nikola Tsolov, while Alex Dunne sits third, 18 points adrift of the leader.
