The Singapore Grand Prix is Formula 1's original night race, with the Marina Bay event having taken place exclusively after sunset since its debut in 2008.

That tradition will be broken this weekend, however, as Formula 1 stages its first-ever daytime race on the city-state's street circuit. The landmark moment comes on Saturday, when Marina Bay hosts the final Sprint of the season.
The Sprint is scheduled to start at 17:00 local time, nearly two hours before sunset at 18:54. Both qualifying sessions and the main Grand Prix will remain fully under the track's artificial floodlights.
