Victory over Andre Berto brought the curtain down on Floyd Mayweather Jr's boxing career, retiring with a record of 49-0.

Floyd Mayweather Jr claimed to have "accomplished everything" as he confirmed his retirement following a unanimous points victory over Andre Berto in Las Vegas.

The self-proclaimed TBE (The Best Ever) rounded off his career with a victory that pulls him level with legendary boxer Rocky Marciano on an undefeated record of 49-0.

Some have speculated that Mayweather will look to bring up a half century of wins before finally calling it a day, but the man himself stuck to his pre-fight stance that he would hang up his gloves after having his arm raised on Saturday.

"My career is over. It's official. I am done," he said. "I'm almost 40. I've broken all the records. I have nothing to prove in boxing.

"I was able to make good investments. I'm well off. Hopefully one day we'll find another Floyd Mayweather.
