Flick's First Words After Star Signing's Arrival

Hansi Flick has commented on the arrival of the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner, Rodri, at Barcelona. The Blaugrana announced the transfer of the Manchester City midfielder yesterday, August 18th (Tuesday), with a contract set to run until mid-2030.

“Of course, it was a huge opportunity for us to bring him in, and everyone was 100% convinced because he is a fantastic player. He also brings something special to any team, and for me, it was great to sign him, or rather, it's great that he's here now.”

“I think he is probably the best defensive midfielder. He can control the game, but he's also a great defender. He excels in aerial duels, which is crucial for us. And, of course, he elevates the level of every player,” Flick stated.
