Nikola Jokic concluded this NBA season averaging a triple-double with 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.7 assists. He met the criteria for these awards a few days ago by playing his 65th game, and has now been presented with two accolades.

Nikola Jokic has made history as the first player ever to lead the NBA in both assists and rebounds, earning him a special delivery of accolades.

The Serbian center, in the league's 79-year history, received awards for averaging the most rebounds (12.9) and assists (10.7) per game.

Presented with two crystal trophies, Jokic also offered some advice to the league, subtly criticizing them for not adequately honoring their legends.

The Sombor native suggested that the silhouette of John Stockton, the all-time assists leader (15,806), should adorn the assists trophy, while Wilt Chamberlain, who amassed 23,924 career rebounds, should be featured on the rebounding award.

Oh, here we go, assists champion. They should have put some guy, like, John Stockton, right? Advice for the NBA. And who leads the league in rebounds? I mean, forever? He should be put here. Advice for the NBA, but thank you, I appreciate this, it's nice. Nikola Jokic

Many view these as consolation prizes, given that Jokic is unlikely to secure his fourth MVP award, despite delivering a season unparalleled in NBA history.
