The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a 4-0 loss to Portugal in a friendly fixture played on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Despite missing star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes scored twice in the first half while Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario added one each in the second half.

It was a heavy defeat for the Super Eagles against a Portuguese team among the favorites for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Following the result, Nigerian football fans criticized Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis for battling captain William Troost Ekong to take a penalty only to miss it.

Following the game, players from both sides came together on the pitch at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.

Former Real Madrid defender Pepe was about to exchange jerseys with Nantes forward Moses Simon.

Upon their conversation, there was an interruption by Super Eagles coach Finidi George.

George a former Super Eagles player is now a key member of the coaching crew of Jose Peseiro.

The video suggests that George wanted Pep's jersey and expressed his displeasure as Simon approached him.
