The Super Falcons of Nigeria have crashed out of the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup after a 1-0 defeat to the United States in their last group game.

An Abby Wambach volley seconds before half-time earned USA a 1-0 victory over Nigeria in Vancouver, which sent them through as Group D winners.

The defeat means that the Super Falcons exit the world cup with only one point after drawing one game and losing two.
