Super Falcons of Nigeria and their coach, Edwin Okon believe that they could have won their opening Group D match against Sweden at the ongoing 2015 FIFA Women's Cup in Canada.
Nigeria on Monday, June 6 came back from a 2-0 deficit to draw 3-3 with Sweden.
Okon however rued the draw as he beleives that Nigeria should have won the game.
Striker Ngozi Okobi also reiterated the belief of her coach saying that Nigeria could have inflicted more injuries on the Swedes but for the mistakes from the Super Falcons.
“We went into the game with the aim and determination to beat Sweden. It was not as if they played better than us, they were just lucky not to lose the game, they got their goals due to the costly mistakes we made,” Okobi said as quoted by Punch.
