The Flying Eagles fell to their German counterparts by a lone goal in the second round game played at the ChristChurch Stadium.

Levin Oztunali’s first half goal was enough to take Germany through to the last eight of the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015 at the expense of Nigeria.

The Frank Wormuth led side started the game brightly and deservedly took the lead in the 19th minute.

Stendera’s pressure on Kingsley Sokari led to him stealing the ball just outside Nigeria's box before finding  Levin Oztunali at the edge of the box who fired a fierce shot pass Flying Eagles goalkeeper.
