Zambia took the lead twice in the game, first in the Patson Daka who scored just four minutes into the game.
Daka picked up a fine pass from Emmanuel Banda and chipped the ball past Italy goalkeeper Andrea Zaccagno.

The Italians responded well but could not convert the series of chances they got. They were reduced to 10 men just before half time when Giuseppe Pezzella received a straight red card for a foul that stopped Edward Chilufya from a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Despite being one-man down, Italy got the equaliser five minutes after the restart through Riccardo Orsolini who headed in a cross from Giuseppe Panico for his fourth goal of the tournament.
Fashion Sakala restored the lead for Zambia 84th minute with a well-placed strike into the top corner from 12 yards but Italy equalised again through substitute Federico Dimarco who curled a free kick to send the game into extra-time.
Italy got the winner in the 110th minute, through Luca Vido who headed in a cross from Dimarco.
In another quarter-final fixture, England beat Mexico with a Dominic Solanke second half goal to progress to the semi-final.
