He had embarked on a trip to the Asian country three days after President Muhammadu Buhari made a similar journey.

Fayose shared photos of himself giving a speech to “Chinese investors” but waslater found outwhen it was discovered that the photos were taken at a tourist centre.

Before his trip, he had written a letter to the Chinese government urging it not to loan Nigeria any money.
