Al-Muwallad's signing was confirmed by Levante on Tuesday, January 23.

After his signing, the director of La Liga in North Africa and the Middle East, Fernando Sanz has described him as the Arabian Ronaldo or Messi.

The director made this statement at a partnership between the Spanish LaLiga and Saudi Arabian Football Association.

The partnership agreement sees an influx of nine players from the Saudi League to Spain's first and second football divisions.

Al-Muwallad who was signed by Levante on loan till the end of the season was talked about specifically by the LaLiga director.

The director admitted he has little knowledge of most of the payers transferring to Spain, However, Fahad Al-Muwallad's special talent made the director draw similarities with the football greats.

He said "I have not tracked the players, but I can say that one example of a very good player is the one who has joined Levante - he is the Cristiano or Messi of Saudi Arabia."
