"It all began with a flight. Thank you, Chelsea. I was 16 years old. A flight I spent entirely in tears, setting off on my career journey with no real destination other than the dreams I wanted to fulfill. From that day forward, I began to shape myself, having no idea what would become of a kid with such a determined mindset. I started building my dreams in my head and somehow turned them into reality. That very reality is changing forever today—a reality that has defined my past, present, and future. Today, just like the day I boarded the plane to London, I feel the exact same emotions about what lies ahead. Fear. Happiness. Courage. Uncertainty. Dreams. Success. Passion. Sacrifice. I want to thank that boy who never stopped believing. And the man I have become today will continue to believe in the next opportunity—this time without the ball at my feet, but with the exact same faith. Always. Thank you, football," Borini shared in his official statement.

The Italian won both the Premier League and the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2010.
