A radical Muslim mother-of-six, Runa Khan, has been sentenced to five years in jail for urging her friends to become suicide bombers on Facebook.
Runa Khan, 35, was hell bent on radicalising her own children and friends into fundamentalist Jihadism in a campaign of hate on the Internet and at home.
Khan also posted a photo of an explosive vest to her 241 Facebook friends encouraging them to send their sons, husbands and brothers to fight for Allah. “Sisters, if you love your sons, husbands and brothers, prove it by sending them to fight for Allah,” Runa Khan wrote alongside the photo.
She also posted a copy of an article called “Sisters role in Jihad off the battlefield” which includes a detailed programme in raising children to be “mentally and emotionally dedicated and physically prepared to conduct armed Jihad.”
Runa Khan was traced and arrested by the police who also found a photo of her two-year-old son with a toy assault rifle, a jihadist book on her phone, as well as images of her and her older children holding a sword.
According to the police report, Runa Khan had daydreamed about sending her eight year-old to fight jihad when he grew up.
During court sitting at Kingston Crown Court, the judge branded Runa Khan highly dangerous after boasting about her devotion to suicide bombing and terrorism.
Khan was jailed for five years and three months.
