Exclusive: Zvezda Lands a Center!

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, having seen several big men depart, has made its first move to bolster the paint by signing Medarević.

The Red Star club will pay Spartak a transfer fee of 300,000 euros for his services.

Medarević is a 24-year-old, 206-centimeter (6'9") tall player. He can operate as both a center and a power forward, and possesses an excellent long-range shot.

Medarević began his basketball journey with Zrenjaninac, later training with the Sportsworld team in Novi Sad. He turned professional with Dynamic in 2020, remaining there until April 2023, when he transferred to the Subotica-based team. This past season, he was a key part of the squad that clinched the Serbian championship.

On the international front, Medarević has progressed through the youth national teams, winning the European Championship B Division with the U20 national team in 2022.
