The Brazilian's deal will be extended until 2030, with an official announcement expected in the coming days—most likely this Friday. According to Catalan outlet Sport, the new contract includes an astronomical €1 billion buyout clause.

The Brazilian captain's scintillating start to the campaign prompted Barcelona's hierarchy to act decisively in securing his future. Raphinha topped the league's scoring charts with 12 strikes and 14 goals overall in just eight appearances, spurring the club to table improved terms.

During the club's general assembly in September, sporting director Deco informed delegates that the attacking talisman would extend his stay by two further seasons, keeping him tied down until June 2030. With the official confirmation imminent, seeing out the full contract will keep the Brazilian in Blaugrana colours until he is nearly 34.

The 30-year-old Raphinha has been plying his trade for Barcelona since 2022. During his time with the Catalan giants, he has lifted three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups.

Alongside Raphinha's renewal, the club is also preparing official contract extensions for two of its brightest young talents—Marc Bernal and breakout sensation Xavi Espart. The young right-back has emerged as one of the standout revelations of the season, establishing himself on the left flank and relegating Alejandro Balde and João Cancelo to the bench.
