Estoril Transfer Market: England Youth International Could Arrive from Fulham
While the transfer market buzzes with interest in some of Estoril's brightest prospects – Yanis Begraoui and Jordan Holsgrove, for instance, are on the radar of Lazio and Charlton, respectively – the squad led by Vasco Matos is also set to welcome new arrivals.
Crucially, there's a clear indication that the current options aren't as plentiful as desired. As such, the SAD (Sociedade Anónima Desportiva) of the 'Linha' club will need to secure new talent for the coach before the transfer window closes.
It's within this context that the possibility of Samuel Amissah emerges. While central defense isn't the most pressing area of need – Stelios Andreou was already signed for the position, for example – the 19-year-old English talent has entered the Estorilistas' list of potential targets, with a loan move from Fulham on the cards.
The news, initially reported by the English press, has been confirmed by A BOLA: the England youth international could indeed be heading to the 'Canarinhos'.
Samuel Amissah has progressed through Fulham's academy but has yet to make his senior debut for the London club. Last season, the center-back (who also holds Ghanaian nationality) featured in 23 matches (scoring two goals) for the Cottagers' U23 side. His future now appears to be in Portuguese football.
