Flying Antelopes on verge of historic NPFL title

Obinna Nwobodo and Chisom Egbuchulam scored for the Flying Antelopes to record an away win against Ikorodu United.

With that win, Enugu Rangers need just a point to win their first NPFL title in 32 years. Their closest challenger Rivers United FC were held to a goalless draw at home to Abia Warriors which means they need just one point to win the title next week at home.

It might go wrong for to Enugu Rangers if they lose their next match-day game to El-Kanemi Warriors and Rivers United win 5-0 at Akwa United.

Shooting Stars of Ibadan secured their stay at the NPFL with a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourist through a Samuel Olabisi 51st minute header.

Niger Tornadoes also escaped relegation with a 3-1 home win over MFM.

Warri Wolves have found themselves in relegations battles after suffering 1-0 loss at Akure against Sunshine stars.
