Emenike who plays for Fenerbahce was attacked by several Instagram users following an incident in a game against Besiktas during a Turkey Super Lig game Sunday, May 7.

The trolls got into the comment section of one of his Instagram post to racially abuse the Fenerbahce striker.

The abuses came in form of comments and banana emojis.

The 29-year-old striker, however, took to his Instagram to reply them by sharing a screen grab of those racially abusive comments.

“These are some of the comments I get every day from some fans but please when you’re calling me a monkey or sending me banana symbols please don’t forget to put a “RICH monkey,” the striker wrote in his Instagram post.

This is not Emenike’s first controversy from this particular fixture in Turkey Super Lig.

In March 2015, the former Super Eagles star walked out of the game after racist chants by his own club (Fenerbache) fans were directed at him.

An angry Emenike removed his shirt and ran towards the bench but was stopped by Fenerbahce coaches to return to the pitch.
