D'Tigers have taken a step further in qualifying for the All-Africa Games and the Afropbasket by beating Burkina Faso

The Nigeria men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, on Monday, March 16 beat their counterparts from Burkina Faso 64-87 in the All-Africa Games and the 2015 Afrobasket qualifiers.

D’Tigers dominated the encounter in Ougadugou– 19-22, 09-24, 23-19, 13-22.
Sanni Ahmed, head coach of the team says he is confident that Nigeria would qualify for both competitions, saying he would correct the few lapses noticed in the first leg encounter.
If victorious in the second leg, D'Tigers will be making their 17th appearance at the Afrobasket and also a chance to defend their title at the All-Africa Games in Congo.
