D’Tigers to play Australia, Canada and New Zealand

The Commonwealth basketball tournament involve eight teams, and D'tigers who were runners-up at the FIBA Africa men's champions in 2017 are in Group A.

Preparations for the Commonwealth as well as the world cup qualifiers are in progress as the D’Tigers camp opened on Friday, January.

Nigeria's opponents are all ranked higher than them, Australia 10th, Canada 25th New Zealand 30th while Nigeria is ranked 32nd, Group B has England, Cameroon, India and Scotland

The top two teams from the group A and B will progress to the semi-final, while the bottom two teams in each group who face off against each other.

The Commonwealth basketball competition will take place from Thursday April 5 to Sunday 15.
