Drake hosted Monday’s first NBA Awards, and he arrived at the joint with Nigerian rising star in the NBA media, Ros Gold-Onwude.

Ros Gold-Onwude was Drake’s date for the event, and the duo hit the red carpet together at Pier 36 in New York.

Drake and Gold-Onwude, we learnt are close friends, and while Drake once asked her out on a date during an interview, they have bonded over their passion for basketball.

It's safe to say the hip-hop heavyweight started crushing on Ros almost two years ago when he shared her picture on Instagram.

Rosalyn first made an appearance on Drake’s Instagram in 2015, after his home team (the Toronto Raptors) lost to the Golden State Warriors.

Rosalyn, the broadcaster for the game, posed with Drake for a photo which the rapper shared on his Instagram.

“When the post game makes you forget about what happened during the actual game,” he captioned the photo.

In 2016, Rosalyn and Jidenna stirred relationship rumours after they attended the BET Awards together, but that fazed out.
