Lyon ended a nine-game winless streak across all competitions. The 29-year-old goalkeeper contributed with six crucial saves, including denying Bambu Dieng a clear chance in the first half and thwarting Arthur Avom's powerful long-range shot late in the game.

“I'm very pleased with the win, the clean sheet, and the Man of the Match award. We desperately needed these three points, especially after this tough run. It's great for the team, and I'm glad I could help,” Greif told Ligue 1+.

“It's always great to be named Man of the Match. For a goalkeeper, it's never easy, but I'm happy I could contribute to the team, and most importantly, we secured three points after a long winless streak. I'm very satisfied,” he stated.

Home coach Paulo Fonseca made three decisive changes at halftime after a goalless first half, bringing on Endrick and Corentin Tolisso. The young Brazilian was instrumental in creating both goals, with the French midfielder scoring the second.

“I believe the coach always sees things in the best possible light and makes decisions that are most important and beneficial for the team. Those substitutions clearly helped the team; it was a very crucial decision,” Greif commented on the changes.

Following the victory, Lyon climbed to fifth in the table, one point ahead of Rennes. They are now just one point behind fourth-placed Marseille and two points adrift of third-placed Lille, keeping their Champions League qualification hopes alive.

“This was truly important. I don't think we've played that poorly in recent weeks, but we were missing something to secure a win. I hope this triumph helps us get back on a winning path and finish as high as possible in the table,” Greif wished.
