Football legend
Maradona has been appointed coach of United Arab Emirates side Al-Fujairah who play in the second division.
This is a return to the United Arab Emirates for the 56-year-old who was coach of Dubai’s Al-Wasl before he was sacked in 2012.
“I want to tell you that I'm the new coach of Al-Fujairah SC, in the second division of the United Arab Emirates. Here are my new colours!” Maradona wrote on his official Facebook page with a photo of him with an Al-Fujairah shirt with his name on it.
Despite being a controversial figure, Maradona is regarded as one of the best players ever in football history.
His career as a coach has however not been near successful as his playing career.
His contract was not renewed as Argentina National team coach after leading them to the 2010 FIFA World Cup where they crashed out in the quarter-finals.
As a player, Maradona won the 1986 World Cup with Argentina and won two Serie A titles with Napoli.
