Class is permanent they say and
Drogba over the weekend scored a fantastic free kick for his club Phoenix Rising in a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy reserves.
The former Chelsea star is a part-owner and captain of the Phoenix Rising who play in the United Soccer League, the tier below MLS in the United States of America.
In a game against LA Galaxy reserves, Drogba scored a free kick from 35 yards out in the United Soccer League game.
He hit the freekick with immense power, over the wall and into the top corner.
LA Galaxy coach Mike Munoz was very impressed with the free kick.
“He was a world class player in his day, I thought we did a decent job in neutralizing him for the most part - but obviously the free kick was top shelf and sometimes you just have to tip your hat,” Munoz said.
Drogba joined Phoenix Rising in April 2017, becoming a part owner.
