West Ham forward arrested again for assault

Just three weeks after he was arrested for suspected assault, West Ham United forward Diafra Sakho was picked up again by the police on suspicion of making threats to kill and witness intimidation.

According to reports, the striker was arrested on arrested on the night of Sunday, August 23.

Though police have not revealed the identity of the alleged assault victims but reports say it might be the girlfriend of the 25-year-old Senegal international, Mya Hassan.

Neither West Ham nor Sakho have commented on the report.

Sakho was also was arrested on Thursday, August 6.

The Senegalese footballer was picked up at his his Essex home, in Hornchurch, before being taken to an east London police station.

He was bailed and is set to return to the station at a date towards the end of next month.

“Officers from Tower Hamlets have arrested a man on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication,” a police spokesman confirmed.

“The 25-year-old was arrested on Thursday, 6 August at an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch.

“He was taken to an east London police station and has been bailed to a date in late September.”

Sakho joined West Ham last summer in a £3.5m deal from FC Metz in France’ his girlfriend Mya is reportedly pregnant with their first child.
