Real Madrid born defender, Derik Osede has joined English Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The 22-year  left the Bernabeu outfit after 13 years with the club but failed to make an appearance for the senior side .

Osede joined his new teammates on Sunday before the squad left for Austria for pre - season training, and practiced with the squad the following day for the first time.

The Spanish Youth international is born to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother.

"Playing for Nigeria -my father’s country- at senior level will be a great honour," the central defender has been quoted by the Spanish media to say in an interview.
