The 27-year-old England international's current contract runs until the end of next season, and talks between both parties are now at an advanced stage.

The midfielder is set to become the club's joint-highest earner alongside Bukayo Saka, who is reported to make around £350,000 per week. Rice's current weekly wage is understood to be £240,000.

Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham in 2023 and has since established himself as a pivotal figure under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta. The Spanish manager committed his own future to the club yesterday, signing a contract extension through to 2030 that makes him the highest-paid manager in the Premier League.
